Mission Statement

The purpose of the First United Presbyterian Church is to:
Invite people to know and glorify God
Grow together as followers of Christ
Serve others through the power of the Holy Spirit

Vision Statement

  • Quality Christian Education for all ages (through classes, seminars, and small groups)
  • Congregation caring for itself and others (through parish elders, committees, ministry teams, pastoral caring, and counseling)
  • Worship and preaching that is biblically grounded and currently applicable (through use of our variety of skills to enrich the life of our church and community)
  • Ministry to our community and those in need (through personal and financial involvement)
  • Support of world mission and local outreach ministries (through contributions and participation in service projects)
  • Spiritual growth of members by encouraging the practice of spiritual disciplines (through small groups, personal accountability, and pastoral support)
